Greetings, War on Cars Supporters!

If you're reading this, you have a body...and you're probably aware that having a body can be a complicated thing in our appearance-obsessed society. That's why the work that Marley Blonsky does is so important. Marley is a self-identified "fat cyclist" and tenacious advocate for size inclusion in the cycling world. As co-founder of the organization All Bodies on Bikes, she leads no-drop rides where no one gets left behind, and lobbies big bike brands to design their products so that people in larger bodies can get the gear they need.

The conversation we had with Marley really helped me to expand my awareness of all the ways in which the cycling community can fall prey to equating "fitness" with "slimness." She challenges all of us who advocate for better bike infrastructure to think in terms that include cyclists of all sizes. Marley's work leads the way for all of us to ride with more compassion and understanding for the people around us.

Plus, she opened my eyes to the idea that her current home of Bentonville, Arkansas—headquarters of Walmart—is "a Disneyland for bicycles." Who knew?

Enjoy our conversation with Marley, and thank you as always for your support. And stay tuned for a Patreon-exclusive episode coming your way very soon!

Wow who'd have thunk regarding WalMart and bikes. I definitely would not associate bikes with WalMart (except I think Huffy, a bike I can make work) but now I have a new view.

I was so happy to see this episode with Marley! I just saw the All Bodies on Bikes Youtube video (found it from the r/cycling reddit) and it was SO moving. Marley and Kailey are so inspiring. I'm also reading an excellent body justice book, "What We Don't Talk About When We Talk About Fat" (by Michael Hobb's Maintenance Phase cohost Aubrie Gordon), I would highly recommend it to all other War On Cars listeners :)
