Hello, Patreon supporters!

Happy Bike Month to all who celebrate. In this ad-free bonus episode of the podcast, Doug talks with man about town George Hahn. As the kids say, IYKYK. The conversation is a love letter to cities, the people who make them great and the beautiful machine that is the bicycle.

We will be back in the studio next week to record some new general release episodes, so look for those in your favorite podcast app soon.

Thanks as always for your support!

- Aaron, Sarah and Doug

BONUS: Better Living By Bicycle with George Hahn

It’s kind of hard to pin George Hahn down. He’s a fashion icon, design aficionado, actor, social media star and a fearless defender of cities. In this special Bike Month bonus just for Patreon supporters, the man the New York Times called an “urban raconteur” joins The War on Cars to talk about efficient living by bicycle, how driving into a densely populated area is a loser’s game and why giant SUVs need to be decoupled from conventional notions of masculinity.

Interesting conversation. This episode and this week’s 99% invisible about the missing middle in housing left me screaming, “what are we doing?!” It’s not a novel idea, but I have a hunch we’re doing cities wrong.

You’re missing a trick if you don’t sell a bumper sticker with his line about there’s no city in which more cars is the solution to anything – that was a great line
