As I mentioned earlier, April was going to be an insane month for me, as was May. I thought I had paused the billing cycle for both April and May, but I may have only done April. Anyway, I'll have a new fic for you guys here in the next day or so. I can post a teaser if you guys are interested? As for how my life has been:

I paused April because I was way behind on work and school, and I wanted to be able to focus on getting caught up. The finals crunch was the first two weeks of May, and I survived that (barely) and spent the week after basically taking a vacation because I was so exhausted. I still had to work but at least I didn't have the constant barrage of school work weighing me down. 

As far as work, that is another thing that really set me back. One of my co-workers passed very suddenly at the start of May. Like. I was working with her early in the morning, and then at around noon, I got a call from her husband saying she had passed. Given the way that my work is structured, I worked directly with her and her husband a lot. When she died, the workload that she handled got passed on to her husband and I. I sort of took on as much of that as I could because I could tell her husband was trying really hard to avoid facing what was happening. Like, I literally had to step in and make him leave to attend her actual wake. Trying to ride a line between co-worker and concerned friend was incredibly exhausting.
