I kind of went radio silent for the last week while I worked on a bunch of other projects, but I wanted to touch base and give an update on what I have in the pipeline for those that are curious. First off, I was working on a new chapter of Gooed Friends, but I don't have a whole lot to show for it. I'll detail my thought processes though so you guys can see what I was working on and what I was thinking with the upcoming chapter.

So for starters, I am preparing one more chapter of Gooed Friends to bundle with the previous three and make an ebook of it. I had a chapter that I had outlined a while ago, and I was originally going to use that, but the more I worked on it, the more I realized it was going to become a massive undertaking and I am trying to cap the size of my ebooks a bit so that I can spread out the workload a bit. I also wasn't pleased with the story progression. It was a pretty substantial jump, and I felt like it would make more sense to have another chapter or two in between to serve as a bridge and to get more about Gak slowly learning more about his powers.

Thus I began working on another chapter that I had an idea for, but as I wrote it, I started to change my mind on it. I kept deleting and rewriting the scene, but it just didn't seem right for me. The main issue was I introduced a new character (rather I upgraded a previously insignificant side character to a major player status) and the scene involved he and Gak fusing for a bit. The idea was to give Gak a human body so that he and Jackson could have a genuine sex scene (as opposed to all previous scenarios where they were effectively sharing the same body) but it didn't feel right for a character to be introduced to the idea of Gak being a slime creature and then willingly giving up his body to let Gak and Jackson get it on. So I started to create yet another interrim chapter that introduces the new character officially and has him learn of Gak's nature and powers and begin to experiment with it a bit, but this posed another problem.

These two chapters that focus on the new character (dubbed Ryan so far, but I may change his name later) work really well together and putting part 1 on Volume 1 and then part 2 on Volume 2 just seemed like it would be really jarring for readers and just generally fuck up the flow of the narrative, so I started work on yet another interim chapter. So good news, bad news time. Bad news is I have barely started writing the New new chapter. The good news is that I have a full outline for it, and I really love the way it is shaping up. I'm pretty sure it'll be super sexy and hella adorable. Got a little bit of micro elements in it too because I have had that itch lately.

Speaking of micro elements, the end of the month crept up on me while I was busy with work and writing other projects. I have an outline for the next 'Mini'ge done and it shouldn't be too hard to write up a nice chapter for this month as well. That will be my goal for this next week. I think I will spend the next 2-3 days working on Gooed Friends though. I would love for Volume 1 to go to print sometime in the next week or two.

Now, I had mentioned showcasing some WIPs of the Gooed Friends chapters if anyone is curious to see them. They are unfinished and hella rough, but the first one is the one that introduces Ryan as an official character. (he made an apearance in a previous chapter but he wasn't really named.) It's a pretty simple introduction that sets him up as a character. The second one is another story I started where Jackson heads home for vacation and brings Gak with him. He'll eventually have to introduce his new friend to the family, and you can guarantee his folks will make all the right assumptions about their son's new "best friend"

As an added bonus, I'm showing off the cover page for the book I commissioned from DarkChibiShadow. If you haven't seen their stuff, it's pretty great.
