July had been insane for me. At the beginning of the month I started a micro semester (of macroeconomics, ironically). It's a full course crammed into 5 weeks. Basically it's class every day of the week with daily quizzes or exams. I'm spending probably 6+ hours a day on just this class plus my day job which has also been insane because one of the managers had a pretty severe heart attack and has been in the hospital most of the month. She's mostly made a complete recovery, but while she was gone we had a temp running her project, and that temp had no idea what he was doing making my auditing job so much worse because I've been spending several extra hours a day trying to undo the damage he caused. Like for example, I pulled an all nighter Wednesday night and I didn't finish work til 4 am on Thursday (aka. Last night). If you've ever been awake for 30+ hours, you know it's not a good time.

Anyway, The first week of August is the final week of the class, and I just finished the unit 3 exam like 5 minutes ago, so I have a little breathing room tonight and tomorrow to get a little writing done. Still, I want to make up for lost time, so I'm pausing billing for now while I catch up on writing. Expect new stories in the near future. I've done a little plotting and some short spurts of writing during the down time, but I've been too exhausted for too long to actually focus on writing.

Night shifter here, so totally familiar with to 30+ hours awake. It can almost be like being stoned.😏 Although it’s much more convenient to go to the dispensary than to stay up for over a day
