Mai Maid Adaptation (Patreon)

WARNING, i have to stop and tell you guys there is a shot of Rose Marie in here if that is not your thing.

So wile i'm waiting for Zacks next adventure to render. i though id hit you guys with this WIP and see what you though. Iv'e talked about this for some time. wanting to animate and adaptation of Kisaragi Gunma's "Mai Maid" comic, and iv'e been slowly working on this. Its my interpretation of one of the opening pages, basically makes for a trailer. Here's the page in question if you want to see it.

The story is your typical Harem anime cliche but this one goes the distance lol. The main protagonist is a young man who inherits  what is basically a brothel by American standards...i guess its like one of those places in japan were they have "host's" basically girls or guys who offer their company for money. "typically there's no sex involved" but we'res the fun in that? the idea expressed in the comic is these girls are given the opportunity to marry into wealthy families...?...anyway the house is run by a whole bevy of sexy maids, who end up competing for the young guys affections and the chance to be his Exclusive care taker. the girls representations of different character types to give a wide range of situations. the comic has a few strong even awkward emotional moments and a little humor. i would play it pretty close to the original but probably inject more humor. even in this trailer the tone comes off as accidentally dark, just a result of the map, and my film making style. id like to fix that, so its more light hearted.

i couldn't do this before cause it took time to fine enough GOOD models to fill out the cast and enough voice actresses to play all the characters. but i think i'm there now. i would like to give this a try. the cast works well with the DOA girls. the odd thing here is it does involve some Loli with a Character Miku which would be played by Rose Marie. this isn't usually my kinda thing. but i know there are a few people who have been asking me for Marie Rose stuff. this would be your ONLY chance to see that. I only entertain the idea to remain true to the original comic. in the context of the comic Miku's character actually is 2 years older than the protagonist...so 20 i think, shes just really petite. But i am a little worried about depicting this and how it will be perceived, so thats why im asking about it. if that's not you're thing then take comfort in the fact that there is a much heavier focus on the more busty even mature girls. like Anna "Honoka" and Kyouko "Helena" Most of the story is about the protagonist and his love interest Mai "Kasumi" and her rival Nana "Ayane".
