You were pretty close yeah, basically up until now hell had thought angels were actually just completely immortal. The reason Carmilla wanted to keep it a secret was that hell would immediately want to fight back if they knew the angels could die, thus starting a war. Also, if you haven't picked up on it yet, Charlie and Vaggie are dating

Hey Joey great reaction to episode 3. Can’t wait to see you react to episode 4. But a bit of a warning on episode 4’s content, when you do react to it, it’s more intense than some of the other episodes. I think it’s the only episode that has an R/18+ rating because of some SA scenes. Just wanted to give you the heads up in case you wanted to put up a trigger warning for some viewers.
