So Toji was essentially on autopilot since killing the granny that brought him back targeting the strongest person/curse around him. But when he got up close and saw megumi he had a moment of clarity and asked him his name, because as much as Toji said he didn't care about Megumi, he really didn't want him to end up with the Zen'in clan, that's why before he died he told Gojo about him. So when he asked his name and Megumi said Fushiguro and not Zeni'n, Toji was happy he didnt end up there (why he said I'm glad), and killed himself so he wouldn't keep on attacking Megumi
