Shou tucker is one of the most hated anime character of all time in the community and this episode is also considered one of the darkest in anime history. This episode still hurts my soul 😭

i love the way you explained you have talks about god without letting us know which side of the conversation you are on, very smart and I respect it. I generally can't tell which you are so good job at being Transparent.

Bro this episode is so hard to rewatch... but I HAVE to see your reaction.. one of the only times im looking at your face the whole time instead of watching it with you for most of it.. i just cant look at tuckers face

Post pre? Or pre post? I think that FMAB is one of the best anime of all time, simply because of the pacing. Every few episodes there's always SOMETHING that stays with you even years later. I don't even have to rewatch the episode and I can see the scenes play out like I just watched it yesterday.

Yeah it think is the episode that gets everyone hooked and let them know this is a different typa anime. I love how they play the religious and god side of their actions and motivations and how it bounces off science and morality side.

In my first watchthrough, I could see it coming, I still cried like hell in anger and sorrow and many different forms of the worst feelings ever

Yeah I saw that coming, the problem with most of anime is that , they always leave to many clues or are way to obvious to what is going happen next. Attack on titan is probably one of the few anime ,that had many scenes, where something happened out of nowhere and 3 seasons later you learn, that it all makes sense in a bigger picture

I feel like in the original fma the 2003 one it was a little less obvious and in brotherhood they made it more obvious by the music, and the color patterns they used. For example the part where tucker is holding Nina in his arms is all red. I forgot how quickly brotherhood rushes through these episodes. If I remember correctly the Liore episode was two episodes long and so was the Nina episode. Anywho I'm proud of you Joey! All the anime experience you've had is sure kicking in! I mean after watching death note and Aot you learn to question everything and trust no one. Lol

I’ve only watched the original FMA, been meaning to watch this one. I don’t recall the episode in detail, though I know the end is a bit different. Think it’s actually more gruesome and sad. In the original, I don’t think it was quite as obvious as in this version. It’s definitely a messed up moment in both versions and one of the saddest episodes in anime history.

Taylor Blackwell

Yeah. My GF got a good laugh at my reaction when I first watched it 😩

God I remember being a little kid watching this episode… at that age I didn’t get the clues quite as much and was in shock at the reveal. Now that I’m older I’m just like damn Al you should have let Edward kill that mf.

kisa1243

Yeah! I think it was like 2007 when I watched it in the original. I feel like now there's so many crazy/disturbing scenes in anime that have come out since then, that it's a bit desensiting in a way.But back then this was(and still is) so crazy to see. That's why it made its mark as one of the most sad moments in anime history.

I watched the other version, and I remember them actually giving us more time to connect with them, and it was actually less obvious in that version if my memory is correct... I remember the ending being a bit different too and more gruesome.... differences here and there, but in this version you could tell that tucker was a creep... but in the other version, i remember initially feeling "single dad wanting to care for his kid" vibe in the beginning so i was caught a bit off guard. Absolutely hate tucker.
