Automail is the common term for automotive armored prostheses as used in the Fullmetal Alchemist universe(this is from the wiki page). So Ed's arm and leg that you saw him lose this episode. Winry made them for him and is in charge of maintaining them.

One of the scenes in this episode reminded me of the FMA: Brotherhood bloopers, its a 15 minute video (you can easily find on youtube) where the voice actors are having fun messing around with their lines. After you finish the show, I HIGHLY recommend you check it out, it's a fan favorite 👍 I'd love to see you react to it (eventually lmao), but even if you don't react to it I still definitely recommend you watch it
