I think they meant the same player can’t touch the ball twice in a row. So it can be like 1,2 then 1 again but not 1,1,2 or 1,2,2

Oh if that’s the case, then that’s obvious stuff 🤷‍♂️😂 whoops

The thing I love about this show is it introduces you to things slowly like characters and rules so you really get to learn everything at a doable pace!

Yeah. Basically you can't pop the ball up (without it going over the net) and then spike it down. You have to pass it to someone else on your side and then they slam it down over the net. You actually are not suppose to hit the ball back over to the other side on the first touch after it passes the net. It gives the other team an easy ball to set up for a spike. It's basically like choosing to pitching over-handed instead of throwing a fast ball. But this show taught me most of what I know about volleyball so hang in there.

A simple thing the show doesn't explain to non-volleyball players is that when the ball falls outside of the court, the point goes to the team that DIDN'T touch the ball last. Ex1: If player A spikes the ball out of the court, the point goes to team B. Ex2: If player A spikes the ball, and the ball touches a player from team B before going out, the point goes to team A.

lmao the Connie comment. and yes, in the first episode, you can see the black jackets of the Karasuno team watching the team but you can't see their heads. in terms of the setter commentary for Kageyama, I believe setters did exist in junior high but Hinata wasn't able to play with one because his team was a rag-tag volleyball team made up of other kids (who actually played different sports and weren't committed to volleyball) who were just there because hinata rallied them / felt bad for him. tl;dr: hinata lacked opportunity to hone his skills. now he can this team!
