2023-02-07 09:42:21 Yeah this was actually the first anime I started watching initially instead of reading the manga beforehand. I wasted my time with both in my opinion. This is easily my least favorite anime of all time. Ken Kaneki is the weakest protagonist of any shonen or seinen anime ever created.

It's actually my fav even tho I haven't read the manga, because I stopped at two seasons and understand that this show simply is a tragedy. Not all shows need flashy over expressive protagonists. Kaneki was actually portrayed well

I read the manga after season 2 and was disappointed with how season 3 was adapted. I'm curious what an anime only viewer thinks of it, so go for it Joey, you might actually enjoy it since you cant compare it to the manga. Since so many chapters were crammed into the 3rd season too many major and minor plot elements were skipped, and characters were not fully developed that it left me not caring about them, even after shedding some tears for those same characters while reading the manga.

Considering you really like this non-canon version of Tokyo Ghoul (S2), I can't recommend reading the manga enough (if you ever want to check out manga in general). Season one was fine compared to the manga, just typical first season adaptions of a manga (they are generally always a bit rushed). A lot of questions you have are answered in the latter part of the manga because the production team changed the events for season 2 so much. Ngl I shook my head a lot during season 2 because of some scenes/character arcs (e.g. Kaneki being so silent whereas in the manga you always know his thoughts). I only watched the 2 seasons of TG:re once because it was so bad but it could be hilarious to see you really confused. πŸ˜‚ 179 chapters were adapted into 24 episodes....The music is great for the whole anime though (also picked by the mangaka haha).

I've rewatched all of tokyo ghoul multiple times, and what people are saying about season 3&4 is pretty true; ALTHOUGH it doesn't take away from the fact that the scenes and plot that do exist. Its still visually pleasing and a fun ride if you want to truly continue the anime journey of TG. It may be a disgrace to the manga, but what makes people hate the anime is the fact that the plot line you've invested in is hard to follow, not that the animation is bad and hard to watch.

Season 3 & 4 are very confusing. But it's still ok if you like the characters. Thanks for reacting to the Show <3 i love Kaneki so much

No, Yomo should set the cafe on fire. Hide was badly injured by the guy who killed Takizawa. As Hide stood there, the guy quickly turned his head. After the scene, something must have happened to Hide. I don't know if you noticed when Akira showed up there was only Amon's Weapon.

RE is not too bad but the reason it gets so much flak (deservedly) is because there is so much content that gets cut out from seasons 2-4 that the show almost expects you to understand despite the fact they cut it out. It is very confusing and they managed to turn a 10/10 manga into a 5-6/10 anime lmao.

Re is a good Anime except that there is no music, but more importantly there is a huge gap that nobody explains (which is why there is no point in wathcing it). Very sad. I hope they bring out a bunch of seasons that are played in between S1 and S2 (V2) but also after S2 (V2). Hmmm yeah but lets bring out a bunch of Filler Episodes for Naruto instead that nobody watches anyway 😭😭😭😭😭😭.
