Loid and Yor haven't been together for a year, he just falsified the marriage certificate to say they have been married for that amount of time. That way the school wouldn't think that he just got married so that Anya could enroll . In reality it has been, at the most, a couple of weeks since Twilight got together the family, that's why Yor is still uncertain of her role as a mother and Loid is so paranoid of her.
