I agree, though I am admittedly guilty of thinking the show looked kiddish when I saw parts on tv. Nothing wrong with a kiddish anime/manga, but they’re usually not my thing. But my older sisters bf got her to try it out and she liked it, so it made me curious cause she’s kinda picky sometimes about anime and things. I was hooked from E1. I definitely wouldn’t ever describe it as kiddish now. It lighthearted mostly, but with some seriously dark and complex themes woven in. And the author managed to balance all of that so well. Also, completely unrelated, but every time anyone in the show says ‘stamina’ I now think of Elden Ring. 😂

fun fact: "time for us to get serious.....URARAKA!" is only the second time Bakugo ever called someone by their actual name....he calls everyone by nicksnames or doesn't remember them, deku, raccoon eyes, elbow guy, even uraraka before now Edit: first person was kirishima at the usj incident in season 1.....after having a nickname for him up until that, spiky hair i think lol using your name is his sign of respect Also, next episode gauranteed best, can't wait.

Loving your reactions to MHA. Next episode is going to be a banger. I'm not sure if you plan to react to the MHA movies as well, but if you do, the first movie called My Hero Academia: Two Heroes takes place in between season 2 and 3. So you can watch it when you've finished season 2. The movie did use to be on the Funimation website before they merged with Crunchyroll. But I'm from Australia so I'm not sure where in the U.S you can stream it from now. The movies are considered canon to the anime and the manga too.

Fellow Aussie! and IIRC that movie is between episodes 38 and 39, which takes place after the “Final Exam” arc but before the “Forest Training” arc.

I've watched all 5 saisons of My Hero but man Deku vs Todoroki still remains the best part of the show for me.

ooh the little sneak peek at the beginning! and i loved the aaaaaAaAaAaAaAAAHHHHH along with the outro lmao that's the proper reaction to all of the cliffhangers this arc
