Progress WAS made on the Arwen dress, even though I've decided to wear Oko to Cubecon (so that I can be comfty and have pockets and actually play Magic way easier). The big train got patterned too but that whole thing is a project for another day.

Also got the new Asuka jacket in and its REAL ligit actually! I don't think I'd take it on say, an arctic expedition (or even a winter-in-Wisconsin expedition) but its a totally serviceable and well-made lighter/outer layer. Also got an Asuka body suit/swim suit that fits well. SADLY I am substantially too  tall for the Asuka bunny suit but I think I can add in some black panels and make some extra space.

Take-away tip: For anyone who's looking to buy cosplays online or buying other clothing stuff from producers out of Asia, the torso LENGTH is often the biggest hurdle because it doesn't always scale up with the sizing. That's the only major problem I've consistently had with the sizing from Miccostumes and similarly mid-high quality cosplay companies.

Those look great! It's interesting that torso length ends up being the biggest issue. I assume it's Asian sizing compared to US?

Its a little odd because I feel like in most other ways the sizing has gotten much easier to guestimate and drastically more inclusive - which is great! The torso length is somethnig that just still causes issues from time to time. I'm also (sort of) tall by some sizing standards for women at 5'5" depending on what's used for the market default.
