Hope everyone had a great Christmas and also a happy new year!!

Today I bring you 'Flying High - the Animated visual novel' as previously announced :)

Before you play a few notes:
The release is considered 'early access'. The animations were all completed, however I wasn't able to polish up all the scenes. Some of the content that will be improved includes: some renders not being final quality, some ai voice placeholders, some scenes lacking flow and sound effects. Having said that, it was important for me to release early and incorporate your feedback as soon as possible. We're planning to update the product throughout Jan and Feb and are committed to resolving any major issues you guys bring up. We've included a link to a survey that will help us understand which items to focus on as a priority.

To play:

  • Visit https://affect3dstore.com and login.
  • If you redeemed your coupon code before the release, check the "My Downloads" Section. 
  • If you haven't yet redeemed your coupon code yet, go to the product page https://affect3dstore.com/flying-high-vn and add the game to your cart with the "I Want" Button. Then navigate to checkout and use your code in the Discount Code text field.
  • Regarding codes: redemption codes were sent out earlier this month to tier 1 and tier 2 subscribers with 6 months active subscription in the 2023 calendar year. Please check your email spam folder for your code. The email sender was newsletter@affect3d.com.
  • After downloading the game files, simply unzip and run 'AV01FlyingHigh.exe' or "AV01FlyingHigh" application. Check the Mac installation guide if you run into a verification error.

    Having said all that, I actually had more fun working on this than any release so far. I have definitely found something to sink my teeth into and I think it will show in 2024. Anyway, our main priority is obviously to polish up Flying High and then hopefully by the end of Feb I can look at announcing the next release.

Release was pretty good obviously needs some polish, and some animations don't consistently keep audio or bulges so that needs to be fixed. All in all though glad it finally got released. I don't know if this is in the works or not but I'd like to see a couple cum animations, maybe even all of them if there's time but I'll settle for a couple.

Going forward, would you consider making an Android port of the renpy or is it only going to be purely WIN/MAC based due to the extra time needed on the Android port will be better spent elsewhere? Was hoping Joiplay would be able to run it but it crashes (nothing can be done as it's an issue on Joiplay end with certain files). Will view it on the PC so no worries there, but usually prefer these styles of games on the phone. Either way, cheers for the release, hopefully the bugs get ironed out over January and Happy New Year.

Here is my quick review: 1. Window defended counts your .exe as a virus or malware so if we have to run as administrator I prefer to just double-click and play. 2. The choice is not affected by the story at all I notice. - If Solar takes a shower or detours, she will be late for some demonstration of her glove and will meet the consequences after that. - No matter what Solar chooses to study her glove before testing, they still let her guess to extraction. I mean if they tell the details and why Solar has to find how to herself. - If Solar gathers the intel, she would take time before she heads out and may help control the monster before it could escape. - Tackle the fire effects in one scene of an exploding building, even though Solar is powerful, her clothes should be burnt and Eclipse mocks her later on. 3. The transition between the scenes is too slow, if you look into the shower scene, it freezes too long until the narrator speaks. 4. Some scenes are just moving within the picture. You can see it in the bottom left corner where the logo disappears. 5. When Eclipse begins to fuck, the scene is stopped without transition until you click. (Compare it when Eclipse grabs Solar's hands) 6. In animation, she should be able to control like skipping some part of it or speeding up/ slowing down. I will write some additional reviews later, I haven't finished the game yet with all some possible endings yet.

everything works fine on my PC , i have no complaints at this time, it's just a pity that it's not a full version of the game so far, now i look forward to the updates. But overall good job guys.

I had to temp remove one story arc with a couple of endings, it will make more sense when it's back with the update, having said the a lot of story scenes will get polished anyway, so the flow will feel different once complete how old is your pc? and are you using the auto function? it should flow as intended using 'auto' if there are excessive delays we'll have to investigate whether certain machines run it differently we're adding more panning/ zooming images and will likely remove the logos for those we couldn't find a renpy player with controls but we'll look into it more

My PC is not that old. (Ryzen 5000 series and RTX 3000 series) In my previous test, some auto functions had no auto transition. (It is just stuck until I click) When begins to continue to play, the window defender now sees your exe file as "This program has potentially unwanted behavior."(I use window 11) even when I tried to extract the new file from .rar, it got guaranteed immediately. So right now, I cannot play it anymore. (And I think it is not a good idea to permit something that window restricted)

IMO The contrast of the voice of the character between the animation and story is too high that it could be voice actress and her AI voice generated. Cumming scene should be animated not just a picture with a moan. Some dialogue is weird like "I will fuck everyone of your holes!" that would be "I will fuck every hole of yours." (See it after the pussy fucking animation) The consequence of the choice that I could think of: 1. If Solar takes a shower to detour, she will not get the glove testing and will not glow dick at the end. 2. If Solar doesn't listen to how to use it, she will not know how to extract the DNA and grow dick. 3. If Solar tackles the fire, her clothes will be torn and burnt and then she have to search for an Eclipse. 4. If Solar listens to Eclipse to prove innocent, Solar could be more conceptual. And so on If I could continue to play it.

not getting of the security alerts you're referring to and I've tested on latest win 10 and 11, we'll do more testing though a good portion of the dialogue is changing, so check it out Eclipse will be fully voice acted there are planned changes to the decisions, but yeah feel free to submit suggestions as well that we'll consider

Ok, this is a longer comment than I intended so sorry about that, also minor spoiler warning if reading this for some reason and you've not played yet. Finished watching this through with a critical eye and there is plenty of good here and some stuff that needs to improve, obviously taking into account that this is early access. First Cerene and Lanessa look great, from the outfits to hair style and physics, they've never looked better. Design is top tier in regards to both their look and just how they move. The still images look really good, great visuals that put emphasis on the characters, the stuff that is new fits in really well here. Now there is some clipping here and there, like there's an early shot when Solar is learning about the gloves where one of her nipples is clipping through her top, and I don't think its intended. Animations are great, nice and smooth with a good variety of pacing intensity. However, again there is some clipping, like when Eclipse is fucking Solar in the ass and she has her face next to Solar's, Solar's hair is clipping though her head. Though it is also present in some of the stills so, it may just be a limitation on the program used for the project overall. Some of the voices in this sound great, generally during the animations there is plenty of great line reads. The voices falls down when it comes to some of the lines during the still images particularly during the latter parts of the game. I know AI place holders have been used here and it's why lines that should have more emphasis or context nuance, like when the girls are cuming sound so stilled, so i'm hoping these get replaced asap. Because otherwise it becomes hard to watch with sound on. I would also mention at times it almost sound like there is more than two people moaning in a scene, don't know whether there's just some weird bleed-over from stills to animations but was kind of strange, might just be me though. I really do like the world building story stuff that works here, the extra character profiles are a great way of introducing both of the girls without getting things too complicated. The start with Solar sleeping through her alarm and being obsessed with follows and social media really gives her some character, though I don't know if I personally needed a running commentary on why she needs to take a shower other than maybe her mentioning she wants to look and feel her best. On a similar note I appreciate new characters being introduced and them having plot elements, it makes the story after all. However it should be remembered that this title two things porn and a super hero story both of these things really need a tight script and story to keep things moving. Here, I would point to the cut away to the other lab as an event that really bogs things down, the game goes into great detail on how the power has to be restored to keep an Alien under containment and feel like it repeats itself several times to foreshadow some threat that never appears. To do this concisely in the stills all that would be needed is to start the scene with the picture of the containment tub, possibly an alarm going off, and one of the voice actors with a panicked voice saying something along the lines of "Fuck, we've got to get the generators back online or that 'thing' is going to get out", then cut to a close up of the tube with the hand against the glass before going back to Solar and the rest of the game. Introduces a new threat and possible sequel bait without bogging things down in techno babble or forcibly hyping some villain that we may never see. I would also point out that writing wise that Solar and Eclipse feel like they flip flop a bit too much in how they talk to one another, first they hate each other, then they've fucked before and enjoyed it, then they are punching each other in the face again, then fucking and then fucking while insulting one anther, feels like the fight on the street could have been first and then thing devolved into intense fucking after with Solar not wanting to be a spectacle for the crow but getting more into it as things progressed. The last thing I'd bring up is that choices don't really seem to do too much right now, like choosing to get more intel or just leaving plays out just the same. Now i'm not saying every choice should matter, like Solar getting a shower, just gets a nice scene of her in the shower, great I like that. But it feels kind of bad that there seems to be two endings i've found so far and one is Solar eats some cum out of her ass and catches Eclipse and the game continues or she eats it all and Eclipse gets away and she just shrugs at the camera, at least give her a voice line like "oh well, i'll catch her next time" and something to at tells us we got a bad ending or a go back button. I know there is a lot to read there but these are the thoughts in my head, I know some of the positive things seem short and the negative seems long winded, but I think its needed to get a point across or point out where something is. Overall I Thought this project was good, and will revisit it sooner rather than later, I personally prefer some other Affect3d's older projects for the flow and just overall feel, but this is quite enjoyable and i'm hoping it gets better.

great, appreciate the feedback the clipping issues you mentioned will be fixed, we'll also take a closer look at the items you mentioned re the animations the voices will be a lot more consistent and cohesive once all necessary dialogue has been replaced by voice actors re story, I actually I cut out an arc that will be added with the polished version that includes a couple endings, because those images weren't polished enough yet, should start to make more sense then having said that there is general story progression that needs more fine tuning one of the issues was that we mostly followed the flow dictated by the original image set, so we tried to make it fit around that, but could have taken more liberties with the sequencing, but regardless the polished version should flow a lot better it's important to me that we get better at story telling over time, don't want the story to be just an after thought, but an integral part how did you not like the running commentary to prolong the shower scene though? that's basically inexcusable :P there aren't going to be a ton of choices, but as mentioned above they'll make a little more sense with the polished version

Sorry for the long comment. I've taken a few days before I wrote this feedback so that I get to look at the game again. I know this is still a WIP, but I will mention all things that stood out even if they will be changed. TLDR: this VN is a mixed bag and I think it mostly comes from having started with an existing image set to which you added (a lot of) new content. First of all the animations are good. Pretty nice range of variations and the camera angles are pretty good. Things are also jiggling pretty nice. They don't feel repetitive and I'm amazed you managed to get 20+ minutes of it (couldn't you people just focus on Bloodlust and do this in 5 years ffs?). Their quality is also miles above the Blender "try-outs" we've been seeing for 2-3 years now. The air fucking also looked a lot better than I expected so congrats on that. Smallish issue are lip synching (not really a deal breaker for me) and clipping. I especially noted hair clipping in general, and Eclipse's suit sometimes going through Solar (animation 1 mainly). The main annoying visual thing in the animations is the somewhat silvery/lighter texture the dick and balls get in some of the animations. Maybe you did it to convey wetness, but it looks off-putting. This is especially visible in the nighttime animations. In animation 10 you can clearly see the difference between the dick/balls and the rest of Eclipse's body. In animation 11, when Eclipse is getting it from the back, you can actually see the line where the dick/balls texture meets the rest of the model (av01a11f.webm at about 00:36) You can also see it for Solar at the very end of av01a19s.webm. I don't expect this to be fixed for this VN, but please take a look at the models in the future. My other main issue with the animation came from the sound mixing. The voice lines are way too low compared to the music and grunting to the point that it's sometimes difficult to make out what they're saying. In the game there's the added issue that the sound from the videos seems to be controlled by the music slider and personally I keep the music at about 50% since I am more interested in what the characters are saying. So when a video started playing the voices were even harder to hear. I understand not doing any cumshot animations since those are probably very hard to do, and there is a mix of techs between the old set and the new stuff, but the thing I missed the most are insertion animations. These should be imo a standard in all future works. I also missed seeing the girls get aroused (from short and floppy to hard and big), but I understand this didn't really fit in this story. Hopefully we'll see this again in the future (it's been almost a decade since you did one in G4E....). For the new images I think again it's a big mixed bag. Some of them look great, some of them look weirdish. I think it's again an issue of putting new content next to the old set. The difference is visible imo and it's not helped by the fact that the original set clearly had some issues like blurry images and inconsistencies in the girl's costumes. It would also be nice in the future to always see a few images when a girl loses a piece of clothing. On the story side, I honestly don't know what to say. I am a fan of superheroine stuff so I am really happy this got made, but there are issues. First and foremost is that there are a lot of inconsistencies. Like costume getting torn and un-torn, random missing clothes in single pics (for example Eclipse without her top when Solar tries to take her out at the beginning on the ground). Again this has to do with the original set more than anything I guess. It was also hard to actually determine the girl's character and relationship with each other. I think this has mostly to do with the AI voices which are flat and atrocious, but also because you wanted to tell a story on top of an old set that may not fit exactly with the story you now want to tell. I look forward to the actual human voices and fine tuning the story (if possible to do) because I love a good superheroine fuck drama lol. The story also doesn't seem to have different ending per say. More like early botched endings if you make the wrong choices (Solar eats all the cum or doesn't use her pussy). I am not criticizing here, I am happy with a single "main ending", just wanted to point it out incase I missed something. For the gameplay side there isn't much to tell. It's a Renpy VN :D. One thing I can point out I kinda didn't like was having multiple images play in a sequence on a single click. It's sometimes weird since I don't like to play on Auto and I don't know when I am supposed to click or not. It's even more annoying if that series of images has a sound playing over it. If you click fast enough the sound will still play even after you get to images that are not related to this sound. This even happens when a video follows this sequence of images and in that case you may get the sequence sound playing over the video sound which is annoying as fuck. Perhaps in the future make these sequences video slideshows? There are also sequences of such images where no sounds at all are playing. For example the insertion for the first animation has very little moaning or grunting. This may seem to be a lot more negative than positive, but I usually just point out the things I didn't like. Your studio still has a huge black mark because of what happened with Bloodlust for the last 5+ years, but I genuinely enjoyed this and I'm happy you're actually releasing content again. Just hope you'll start fresh and don't spend too much time adapting old stuff. I loved some of the sets like Lady in the Tower, Cypunk and Flying high, but I think you trying to bend them into bigger stories may not have worked 100% for story and content reasons. So I hope in the future you will start with a clean slate (or choose a more content consistent set to start from).

Animations were pretty good. Dialogue/writing was pretty campy and uncomfortable. Dunno whether it was a writing or VA burnout thing, or maybe just the setting combined with the two factors but it just felt clunky and awkward to listen to. I don't think it's unsalvageable as a concept, I just don't think the team is firing on all cylinders to make it shine yet. I think the next one will likely feel a lot smoother.

V/A was cringe, and that tik-tok text to speech didn't help. story line was 1/10 but lets be honest no cares about that. my 2 biggest problem where the voice acting (its so bad it takes you off the mood) and no creampie animation

Finally watched it! Great stuff here. The only issue I had was with the use of AI voiceover for cerene and lanessa. I understand it’s early phases but real voice actors are a must for a final product. Also need cumshot animations. Other than that I loved it!
