I really enjoyed watching your reactions to this show 😄 I love how they ended it in a way that it simultaneously feels like a finnished story yet you know that there can still be much more to tell. Absolutely hoping for more seasons, seems quite likely from how well the show's been doing. Luke definetely has a point about the gods being terrible parents but siding with the guy who ate his own children probably isn't the best way of solving the issue. And him running away when Annabeth shows up has a really sad note when you remember how close the two of them are and how painful that moment must have been for both of them.

My only complaint is that Disney doesn't like to handle stuff like abuse. It makes it seem like Gabe didn't deserve to be turned to stone.

I partially agree with this. I definetely wish they wouldn't have toned down Gabe as much as they did but I also think that the way they presented him does subtly imply how awful of a person he is and that his fate was deserved. For example, there was the guy in first episode who told Percy he shouldn't apologize because Percy is the one who needs to go in while he gets to go out. Or Gabe being controlling and belittling in the first episode. Or how he obviously cared more about his car getting destroyed than his wife missing. Or how his first instinct after being locked out was to try and break into the apartment. Yeah, we don't know the full extent of what he is like in the show but if you focus on little things the signs and implications of how terrible of a person he is are there. I agree that it's definetely not as obvious as it was in the book and that they could have done it better though.
