Yeah Dean really is struggling. He's lost the two loves of his life (Baby & Cas), his father figure, their home base (Bobby's house). Everything that's a comfort to him. So now he's nursing on the alcohol as a substitute. The thing with Emma is that she hasn't killed anyone yet, like Dean said. He could let her walk away, but should he take that chance? Just like Amy could probably kill again. At least in Amy's case the killing was more justified, than in Sam killing his niece. I don't consider Amy's "justification" as valid. No matter who they were, her victims were still human. Who knows what potential they had? They could've turned their lives around and saved someone else down the line. And there is NO justification for murder. I don't care if it is your child. I would let my child die than commit murder, because how can I look them in the eye afterword when punishing them for a misdeed? How could I set my foot back in my church?

omg I just realised that during the scene of Dean at the bar chatting up the woman the song playing is 'World's Collide' by Louden Swain (aka Rob Bebedict aka Chuck's band in real life). I never really got into them until a few years back so I never realised.
