It seems to me that gender (and biological sex as well) is a human thing that angels only take on when they possess a vessel. So Cas in Jimmy is male, Cas in Claire Novak is female, and Cas in a gender-neutral person would be gender-neutral.

I've just started watching your 'Good Place' reactions (I've only seen S1-2), so that tickled me. 13:20 Jensen used to model, as a kid & teen. 35:38 Cas has no one to blame but himself for reneging on his deal to Crowley. 50:11 That's a good analogy, Sam/demon blod & Cas/purgatory souls. And Dean was right again. Cas is clearly on a dangerous power trip. Balthazar said he could explode under the weight of all those souls . What happens if he does? All those monsters or their ghosts released upon the Earth. They would've been better off dealing with Raphael and his plan.
