Can you imagine a hunter group therapy session? Where do you even begin? I think Lisa telling him that she can't have what she wants that she's trying so hard to get past that and every time he shows up it tears her apart all over again played heavily on what Dean decided to do. I also believe Dean seeing Ben being forced into experiencing the hell of his own childhood in a matter of minutes and doing those things Dean swore to himself Ben would never do or become, left him with only one option. He always said if something happened to either of them that it was on him and of course, what's a little more guilt to add to the crap ton Dean already carries with him. On the other hand what he did doesn't mean Ben and Lisa won't still be a sickening bargaining chip by some demon or monster in the future, they just wouldn't know why and Dean would end up in the same heartbreaking situation - take 2! 😟

I was upset with Sam's reactions. The pain on Dean's face is very clear, yet all Sam does is criticize him, rather than try to comfort or even understand what Dean is going through. If Cas wanted to avoid the pain of Dean rejecting him, then Cas should stop lying, tell then about the war (he's never really said anything other than "I'm at war"), stop stealing things, and STOP TRYING TO OPEN PURGATORY. Balthazar has a right to be worried if Cas is going to try to hold all that power inside him. He may not be able to, as Jimmy is just a vessel. Many fans, myself included, consider S7E1 as the true S6 finale.

It's not a spoiler. It's like saying S8 is better than S5, when you're only on S6. It's like saying in the middle of S12 that "you just need to push through and it will get better". These are just example.
