I love this episode. And your reaction to seeing Ellen is exactly why I love watching this through someone else's eyes. I love Ellen, she is in my top 4 favorite female characters on the show. You haven't met the other 3 yet but they're all great. I also love the next 3 episodes as well, and I hope you will too. And what's going on with our Cas?? P. S. Your dog is adorable

2023-10-29 23:15:54 It's more of a play on words than a pun, but: on Monday our hearts stopped, on Tuesday they will go on. *rimshot*. I love the little pieces of foreshadowing in this episode. Bobby specifically saying 'are you my wife?', the boys' car being shown not to be the Impala with no initial explanation, the reference to the families immigrating, then in 1912, and my favourite is in the scene with the woman killed by the copier, we can see literature on her desk with 'White Star Line' on it - the company that owned and operated the Titanic (Dean also reads a similar pamphlet). Combining that with Greek mythology, Final Destination, the comedy of 'One Way or Another', all the 'fate' jokes, and the jabs at the Titanic movie (which I love, personally, and I think Dean secretly does too) makes for a really well-rounded episode, and that's before we get to the deep themes of grief and processing it. I also have not seen Armageddon, but I recommend Deep Impact (1998). Both are about trying to stop the Earth from being hit by an asteroid/comet/meteorite, but I find Deep Impact more emotionally involving than the plot and reviews I've read of Armageddon suggest it is.
