Great reaction Liam! I like how you were linking ideas from this episode back to the Alpha Vamp. I feel like the case, tone, and pacing of this episode are a bit all over the place, but overall I like it. I love when Sam hugs Dean (and Bobby) and it just feels right after the awkward hug they shared in the premier, where Sam was weirdly calm (soulless). It’s fun to watch Dean just appreciate having "the real" Sam back in the little moments throughout, and you can see his relief with how Dean is back to his usual self in this episode (he can joke and be the inappropriate one again). Dean and the sword is also just ridiculous and fun. I love watching Sam in this one, especially, because it feels good to have him back to normal. Jared does a great job with different versions of Sam. Also, him finding out he had no soul is heartbreaking. Just like Liam, I like Jared's acting when he’s processing the truth from Cass, and I love that Sam didn’t blame anyone, but apologized for what he (unknowingly did). I think Sam might have avoided hugging Cass because he might have felt the tension that Soulless Sam and Cass had throughout this season, without knowing why, or he might have been feeling guilty since he was planning to trick him for info. Finally, my understanding is Death built the wall in Sam's head so he can’t remember hell. Soulless Sam CAN remember hell, thus Sam has to forget about being soulless, too.
