2023-05-26 17:41:04 'Brain Drain', as in educated people leaving a hostile society. Apparently the writer sent the same idea to that other show for their 6x17 episode which aired a few months later. I've always suspected this episode was written in the hopes that Shannen Doherty would appear as a fake version of Prue conjured by the Source, and then changed to Wendy instead. For a vision of Prue to appear in that moment, to be the thing that finally tipped Piper over the edge in terms of giving up their powers, would have been so thematically perfect. Especially with all the references to Prue in this episode.

Ooooh, love this episode. when I saw Buffy's Normal Again a couple of years ago it reminded me of this I love when shows break "reality" like this

I got into Charmed in the Spring of 2008 (Funny enough, I was in Germany, and my sister and I were scrolling my grandma's TV and we ended up watching 6x3, in German, of course). So that's what got me hooked on Charmed. That fall, I was watching YouTube music videos and saw some mashup video of Piper in this episode and Buffy in Normal Again and I got super intrigued, and followed the bunny trail to Buffy... and realized I'd seen a few eps of Buffy (Halloween, and Living Conditions) a number of years before, without even knowing what show it was. Anyway, Charmed, and this episode, is what led me to get hooked on Buffy. <3
