"Bastards!" made me laugh so hard! I feel ya! I started watching the show in the pandemic, so I literally just hit the next button and went to the next episode. But for the people who watched this in real time, back in the day, this episode aired on Dec 7 and the next episode didn't air until January 11. So those poor folks had to wait over a month. In the scene where Dean ends up shooting Beverly Tanner, I wholeheartedly believe he did it so that the Sarge wouldn't have to. He could see that the monster's trick of being like, "Mark, you've known me all your life!" was really hurting him and it would have been incredibly hard for him to live with having to kill her, even if it wasn't really her anymore. So, Dean took on the burden for him. Because - well, because that's Dean. 😞 Interestingly, Dean's instincts about Duane were right. His instincts are often very, very on target. But I was still happy he didn't pull the trigger when he wasn't 100% sure of Duane's "guilt". Just as an FYI, Duane wasn't "infected with the virus", he was just a straight up demon.
