Great reaction! I love this episode! So much to think about. Loved seeing Amber Benson playing a vampire - very enjoyable. One of the subtle bits that I love in this episode is that when Gordon is hunting the vampires, both the scene with the girl in the beginning and the guy at the mill, are rife with classic horror movie tropes. You mentioned one of them when the girl tripped and fell. The girl running through the dark woods and falling down - classic slasher movie scene. Then the scene at the mill is another classic horror movie scene, lone guard, getting up to check a suspicious noise, gets started by a jump scare (the pigeon) and then the real bad guy shows up! It's awesome how they flipped the script and put the vampires in the role of the victims in both those scenes. Love it! Just an FYI, starting in Episode 5, you're going to see Sam with a cast on his hand. That's because in the scene in the motel when the vampire knocks him out with the phone, Jared fell wrong on his hand and broke his wrist. He shrugged off the pain for a while, but finally toward the end of filming episode 4, he got it x-rayed and found that it was broken. Toward the end of episode 4, they make a brief mention of his hand being hurt, that's why, they needed an explanation for why his hand would be in a cast in the next episode. Poor Jared! Anyway, that's all my ramble for today - loved this, as always! 😊 Looking forward to the next one!
