This is one of the first ever episodes that is written with a lot of comedy. Fun fact - Jensen and especially Jared are constant pranksters on set. Jared is insistent on making his co-stars laugh mid take. I would definitely recommend watching the gag reel at the end of each season - they're between about 7-12 minutes long and it gives a sense of the set and what it's like to work on it. I can provide you with the videos if you wish.
