I think this is my least favorite episode of the series. My favorite part was Willow’s “Right there with ya!” line in the Bronze. It was so subtle, I missed it the first time I watched it.

The magic of this episode is that it's one of my least favorites, with a recycled/weak plot, yet it yields one of the funniest (to me) moments from the entire series with the stuff outside Woods' office window.

Yeah, this episode obviously wasn't a masterpiece but it was funny enough. Think with Help and this one, they were deliberately going for the teen-centric simple monster of the week stories of early seasons. Xander also literally says "Welcome to the Hellmouth" towards the end. XD If it makes everyone feel less skeeved out, I just Googled out of curiousity and found out that the actor who played RJ is older than Sarah Michelle Gellar. 0.o I never knew before today either. Also, Spike was lucid and sane the entire time in this episode. Huzzah!

This has its moments (Willow in the bronze, Dawn's soliloquy about murals), but yeah, mostly... not a great one, and the secondhand humiliation makes it actively painful to watch.

I think the jacket must have only affected magically inclined girls. Dawn isn't really, but she was born from magic. The Slayer has supernatural powers, Willow is a witch, and Anya a demon. Otherwise, the guy would be dead from all the sex.

There are some cringe-worthy moments in this episode, but the rocket launcher scene makes everything worth it.

From the Useless Trivia Dept. There is a connection between this episode and Inca Mummy Girl. In the latter, Devon asks Oz: "What does a girl have to do to impress you"? Oz responds: "It has to do with a feather boa and "The Theme From A Summer Place". When Dawn first sees RJ, the music that plays is..."The Theme From A Summer Place".

This episode creeps me out.
