Season 4 was planned and filmed to have an hourlong (minus time for commercials) opening episode, like Seasons 2 and 3. Then the network decided to air only half-hour episodes, so the producers had to chop it in two. That's the reason for "To Be Continued" -- Part 2 is really the second half of a single long episode, and follows directly on this one. I wish it had been combined back into a single episode when the show started streaming on Netflix, but it's too late to worry about that now. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is great news! It's a terrific show, by the same producers as The Good Place (and some of the same supporting actors).

Can't believe it is the final season already. Interesting that you smell that the Bad Place might have something else up their sleeves. What do you think it is? :p Can't wait for B99 too! The absolute best choice you could have made for a comedy series. :D
