I like this episode. I'm so excited. And I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it. Whoo hoo.

"We've had Dancing Angel and now Singing Angel...." It's incredible to see BtVS S1 Angel now with new reactors like Alley Box, and remember how I never imagined we would see an Angel with so many sides (and many of them endearingly goofy). I could say a lot about this episode (because it's a really important episode, especially in retrospect, but it definitely needed another pass on the script), but I'll just talk about how much I loved the final scene with Faith. Wesley reiterates the true mission: saving one soul at a time, which reminds Angel of Faith. From the easy banter that they have to Angel asking if the food has gotten better, it seems that Angel has been visiting Faith, and it makes me ship the Angel/Faith friendship even more.

The whole theme of Angel is Redemption. Cordelia works as Angel's sponsor. The heart that helps keep him from dwelling to much in the dark broody space. And now Angel's turning around and taking that same role for Faith and I always loved it.
