The rumor is that, in the original concept for this, Sunday was a Slayer who became a vampire, explaining her extra strength. I wish they'd stuck with it, though I can see where they wouldn't want it to take over the episode.

I'm just starting to watch your reaction, but I just wanted to warn you that you are watching HD version. This version has a loooot of flaws, since Buffy was filmed in square version and Joss never wanted this show to be in HD. You are correct, Pedro Pascual was in this episode :-) Trivia: 1.) The exterior shots of UC Sunnydale were filmed on the UCLA campus. 2.) The man in the Bronze who looked like Angel was actually played by David Boreanaz up until the point his face became visible.

beware of the HD remaster - if its in wide screen, its a remaster. All episodes except for one in s6 was filmed in that square ratio. The remaster has a lot of cheap mistakes (wrong colourations making night look like day, crew in shot, dodgey effects, over-plasticy looking faces...)

Actually you’re half right. At the time Buffy season 4 was airing on the WB tv stations were just starting to push their “now in HD” for newer tv’s. It would usually air on a different channel with a decimal point. So here Buffy was on channel 12 but on channel 12.5 it was on in HD widescreen. The network pushed joss to shoot it with the HD widescreen option, but it was only ever intended to be seen in 4:3 not 16:9 ratio. So you will see the crew, cameras, flags or c-stands in some shots... but the version he is watching is the original HD version. The remastered version would have been widescreen since season one. After lots of fan complaints most streaming services (minus Facebook and Apple) have went back to the original. However since starting with season 4 they had both 4:3 and 16:9 versions...they go with the widescreen. It does ruin the intended frame though....but thankfully he won’t have to deal with the bad lighting, cropping, effects and over processed faces.
