Good call! Buffy does seem to have really specific fight choreography and Kendra's technique feels very familiar. Plus Kendra is unbelievably gorgeous, just like Buffy lol

Sarah Michelle Gellar is a fan of ice skating in real life, and lists ice skating as one of her hobbies. She does all of her own ice skating in this episode. Julie Benz who played Darla was one of the top rated skaters in the US :-D

Gah. Okay, Liam, you know this is coming. LOL This is. So. Not. Fair. You have to be the only one I know who ever figured out what Kendra was before she said it. And the only one who noticed her moves. Yes, the foreshadowing was there, and in retrospect, it was obvious, but I don't think most people see it coming. I mean, it's like you're cheating or something. LOL J/K. I love this two-parter. A lot of people complain that the maggot guy isn't very effective, but I think he is. He killed the woman in that first house. We saw her. And then he can get rid of the body after, by consuming her in bug form. He doesn't look like he could kill anyone in man-form, but he did, and you don't need to look scary or be big and hulking to be deadly. He looks harmless, and that's sometimes more dangerous. Actually, there are a lot of people who love the Spike and Dru ship. They are great characters. They're wacky and interesting, scary, and just plain fun. And it's neat because Spike really does love her. Oh, but one more thing I wanted to address. I've seen a lot of people comment that Spike's attraction for Buffy (which you have now seen start to manifest up front in later seasons, seemed sudden in that episode when he had the dream about her. It isn't sudden at all. There are four instances that I can think of now where, to me, his attraction was already there, but it was so deep down that Spike didn't even know it. All were long before the dream, and one of them was in this ep. The first was in School Hard. His very first ep. As a rule, Spike does not talk to his food. He doesn't try to seduce them before he eats. Quote #1: "Fee fie foe fum, I smell the blood of a nice ripe girl." Quote #2: "I give you my word, it won't hurt a bit." The way he says both lines, the way he moves, the way he talks to her, the way he looks at her, it's dangerous, but it also smacks of enjoying himself with her way, way more than with just a kill, or even a slayer. He didn't talk to the other two that way. In Halloween, the way he was touching her when she was dressed as the 18'th century girl was very sexualized. In this ep, when he's talking about how she's messing everything up and she's the thorn in his side. He's obsessed with her, and yes, it does sound like a villain with his nemasis, but it also sounds like a stalker obsessed with a girl, only he doesn't see that's what it is. And in the later episode at the end of this season, when he teams up with her, there are hints all through, but especially in the way he talks to her at the cop car, wanting her help. It's there. He just didn't see it. The dream is just signalling that it's finally come to the surface in a way that he can understand. I bring this up now because this was the most obvious case of his obsession showing itself up to this point in the series. And I would have forgotten if I had waited until later to say it. Love your reactions as always.

I love that you figured out that Kendra was a vampire slayer. Your reactions are great. I've been bingeing them the last few days, trying to get caught up.
