I've always liked this episode. The character study feel of it, delving into everyone's fears is fascinating, and some of the nightmares were genuinely terrifying. Ones that might have not been as scary were made compelling because the characters having them were people we're invested in, and the way they were executed made them feel more real and relatable. I don't know if you're aware of this, but SMG legit has a fear of being buried alive. That scene must have been terrifying to do. I felt for Giles in this one, seeing him at Buffy's grave, thinking Buffy was dead. Buffy's scene with her dad telling her it was her fault he and her mother got divorced was heartbreaking. I could not imagine going through that, and i love that the nightmare shows us that deep down, Buffy has a fear that it is her fault their marriage ended. Love your surprise when everything started to make sense, and loved watching you try to figure it all out.

Well. this is what I get for leaving the above comment before watching the whole reaction. The most riveting part was Buffy turning into a vampire. That was done so well. As far as your initial judgment of the kid, don't feel bad. The misdirection was done well, and you were supposed to think it was the kid that was evil. I also think that having another kid in this season who is truly evil in the Anointed One helped to play into that. Your reaction was perfect.
