I love this episode, yes its very heartbreaking but so many great elements to it. Nina acted brilliantly, the music choice, the sweet moment of the brothers, Damon and Bonnie’ hug and Matt and elena it was all so well done. I must say the moment when Elena turns her humanity off it just gives me goosebumps what incredible acting. The moment of her breakdown is so heartbreaking her talking about all the people, the family she has that have died and finally her burning her house down Wow what an episode. The Gilbert house getting burned is so sad to see, so many beautiful memories and moments from S1 and now the house is just gone, its really so heartbreaking to see. Damon respects Bonnie a lot, he really appreciates her a lot for the things she does. Elena knows it and she mentions that here. Damon and Bonnie’s hug was soo cute. Damon and Stefan moment in the end always makes me sooo freaking emotional it isn’t a BIG moment as such also very few words spoken but what Stefan meant to tell damon, Damon got it without Stefan saying anything and he puts his hand on Stefan’s shoulder, Stefan meant to say that I love you brother and with seeing Jeremy go, Elena loosing her brother. Stefan is saying I cant loose you, you mean the world to me. Defan’s relationship has grown tremendously in the show I love their bond so much its bigger than any romantic relationship for me.

Sam-I-Am

Such a heartbreaking episode. Elena being in denial and unable to deal with the reality of the situation is so, so relatable. I love the moment between Damon and Stefan, but what I love even more is how Stefan recognizes that Elena needs Damon to help her through this and turns to him to help her. Yes, the sire bond plays apart of that, but I think he knows that even without it Damon is the one she needs in this moment. I also really like the Damon and Bonnie moments in this episode (lowkey ship them together lol) Damon instructing Elena to turn off her humanity definitely made sense in the moment, but I can also understand Stefan's worry and disapproval of it Totally biased, but the Mystic Falls crew should have heeded Kol's warnings... #justiceforKol lol. So far this quest of theirs has led to Katherine getting her hands on the cure, Jeremy dying, and Silas on the loose...things are not exactly going great for them
