RavenLord

Always fun to watch this with you! I'm happy you're feeling better. My thought on Abby is that even if she hadn't become a vampire, she would have found a way to leave Bonnie's life...again. For whatever reason or excuse she has, she cannot be a parent to her daughter. Even a daughter who is mostly independent and nearly an adult. Some people absolutely should not have children, but too often, they realize that after the kid arrives, or they don't realize it at all. For whatever reason, she took on a surrogate son, but now she is abandoning him as well. Inexplicably, on my first and second watches of this series, it didn't really hit me until now how old Sage was! It was even said twice, with Damon saying that Finn strung her along for 900 years and Sage herself saying she's 900 years old. She is nearly as old as the Originals herself, and that makes her insanely powerful. I don't know why that didn't sink in until now, LOL.

I just can't stand Abby hate her. I can't see anyone hurt Bonnie. Somehow I love seeing this side to Alaric the actor Matt does such a good job at playing him.

I'm with you on that (both counts)! Abby strikes me as a "pity me, poor me" type of person. It's not like you even have to raise Bonnie now, dingleberry, she's a grown woman! Yet, Abby leaves anyway. Again. Plus the cowardice of making other people have to break the news to Bonnie (and Jamie now, too), couldn't even tell her to her face. Yes, going through a major life-altering experience must be mind-reeling, but I think she would have taken off anyway. And yes, Matt does an amazing job with the split personality. Very subtle but profound changes in his demeanor and expression.
