You have asked me for it over and over, and I have put it off over and over because condensing 25+ years of continuous development into a single document was a daunting task. But then I thought: "Why do I have to do that? Just get some of it down and keep building on it as people ask for it."

So I decided to do just that. Here, then, is the 1st edition, which includes an illustrated catalog of the species of the Peltedverse, plus the Alliance map and a reading order for all the series in the setting. I am not planning on ever selling this particular document! I'll be continuously updating it as y'all request material, and will make it available to all my newsletter and patreon folks free of charge, as a thank you for being so awesome.

Here, then, are the kindle and epub editions. Nab them and tell me what you think!

(Btw, your cover painting of the Pirate Queen is wonderfully Evil) *Are there prejudices, tensions? Cat vs Dog vs ?, Later genned calling earlier genned less thought out? less refined? *Your wolves seem to be based on Scotland: Highland vs Lowland. True? *Art displayed first (all races) is clipped right on epub Next art is clipped left, leaving a part of a face off screen. Following art is good. *Revisons and nitpicks: You have said "Ascnii are shapeshifters" I think you were speaking not literally, but still correct that? Also one typo: The change (somewhere late in document) should be They change. *There are several places where you describe a race containing individuals that are furless. Malari was one. And tailed. This brings to mind furless tails, which you do not, I think, want. OK, now to go back and re-read the part where I was not taking notes.

Tech question: Do Halos have a stablize setting? If there is a ship load of victimes and the ship does not have enough halos for everyone (see Titanic) could it be set to stablize one then get to the next without fully healing the first?

OK, I can see a species/race that has messed up genes not breeding well, but any race that has problems wanting to breed, well, would the ones that want to do so? and in enough generations, since only the breeders breed, there would be a likelyhood of increased desire to do so. Is this not happening in your universe?

I was considering one of the recent books from the prospective of one of the skinned victims. (In their haste, would the skinners take the sexual parts? I presume that ears and tails would likely be taken and cleaned out later.) I had created a small fan fic, but since this info shows it needs revising, I will summarize what I think would happen. The victims would produce a protest video calling for more funding for the military. They might dance in their skinned, ear-less, and tail-less condition. It might leave people guessing as to which race each were. They would distribute that video via their relatives, but keep the screen blank during the call so that their condition would not make relatives throw up. And they might dedicate their lives to killing pirates. The best offensive military education is on Earth. So my question: if they asked, would Earth take them as a unit and train them to hunt pirates? As officers? How would they deal with whatever prejudice there is? Maybe: The student does not teach the master. We are here because we need to learn what you know.

For that matter, having some Pelted officers rotate through Earthforce would help the Pelted get the training they need to hunt successfully, to understand the tactics, strategy, and consequence of war.
