Since I used a photo of my cat for reference, this counts as caturday! By my standards anyway. The neighborhood's doing this cute thing for parents of small children, where they're asking anyone who wants to participate to set out stuffed animals in their windows, or draw something on their sidewalks, and then the parents take their kids for walks and try to spot all the things. It was not very long ago that I was a mom with a kid that young, and I remember my frustration on days I couldn't take her to go play with other kids... cooping them up in the house is exhausting for you both, and supervising them in the backyard (when they're too young not to fall into ant piles or to know better than to dig through gross stuff) is just as bad. So I decided to join the "help the hassled parents" initiative.

(The quote is obviously for the at-wits-end parents. They need it. 😆)

I do like doing chalk art like this. It makes me wonder if I shouldn't mess with pastels. *muses*

Anyway, happy Saturday!

LOVE IT!

Remind me again of your chalks; I've been doing some chalk art in my neighborhood but with dollar-a-pack chalks, and the effect is... limited.

(Our neighborhood is doing the stuffed animal thing too, but we've got rhododendron bushes hiding our windows...)

No sidewalks in front of my home, but I'll go put a stuffie in the window.

One of my favorite quotes! Usually, our window has our English cocker spaniel in it, looking out at the neighborhood and barking to let us know when someone is walking their dog.
