Sometimes I wake up and there's a cat right next to my face. I'm sure cat owners are familiar with this maneuver.

Today is Leap Day! I have spent about a week and a half messing around post-Heartskein, shifting gears... got a painting done, and got headway on a second, and untangled the mess with the audio for Kherishdar's Exception (on its way to retailers, I'll let you know when it gets there; superfans will want the bandcamp edition with the extra hour of bonus material, though). I also took my exhibit down, so I'll have a list of available materials from that in a bit (along with a video walkthrough of the gallery, once I figure out how to edit it).

Next week, I'll get moving on Coracle! But I intend to have a nice, leisurely weekend first of doing nothing but goofing off. Somehow. I've gotten bored of Stardew Valley, which was my last distraction. Anyone have any suggestions for games? Phone or desktop. I like simulation, city-building, and character-based RPGs or choose-your-own-adventures!

Epistory: Typing Chronicles might be something you'd enjoy

Planet Explorers is a fun, fairly light gather/hunt/build game with some light RPG elements. The Banner Saga is a rather heavy but generally hopeful RPG / CYOA with some turn based combat. Pathfinder:Kingmaker is a kingdom-building D&D campaign which is the closest thing I've seen to actually playing D&D without a human GM, but is extremely long and has potential life-eating properties. Endless Legend is a colourful Civ-style game with extra character/story elements for the factions.

My Time At Portia is a gather/build game with a similar atmosphere to Stardew Valley, although with significantly more 3D. Slime Rancher is a hilarious and only mildly RPG-ish game about, uh, ranching slimes, which mostly involves exploring areas to pick them up and trying not to get eaten... Aven Colony is the best 'build an interstellar colony' style city builder I've played for a while, and it has some good story woven in there as well, although it's a bit 'passively sit and hear the reveals' rather than really RPG-like. I, uh, might have quite an extensive computer games selection...

I already bought the Bandcamp audiobook, and since I bought an MP3 player, I actually have an easy way to listen to it in my car. I just finished re-reading it before I got the mail from Bandcamp, so my next re-read will be a listen! Looking forward to it.

I am enjoying Littlewood, which is a town building game that's very low key. However, it's still in development (early access on Steam), so there's a few places you can't get to yet. I do not recommend Planet Explorers. It bored me horribly.
