...so that's the good news.

The not-so-good news is that they still have a problem to solve and they're not sure how to do it. They don't tell us what that problem is in their post, but I can't help but wonder whether it's solvable at all, and if not, what happens then?

So while I'm pleased--impressed--at the apology and rollback, I'm still trying to decide how I want to handle this Patreon going forward. My instinct is still to move my content off this site and find some way to either crosspost it here, or email it via RSS to people who request it. I'm not sure how to do that, though, since Patreon's API doesn't support cross-posting at this time.

(It helps that most of you have told me you don't like looking at the content on Patreon/via the app, because that means you're not going to be sorry if the content comes to you in some other way as long as it's convenient for you.)

Expect a poll in the near future! When in doubt: consult the market. :)

We messed up. We're sorry, and we're not rolling out the fees change. - The Patreon Blog

Creators and Patrons, We've heard you loud and clear. We're not going to rollout the changes to our payments system that we announced last week.

We, the visible hand of the market, will guide you faithfully. Bring on the polls! I hope this fiasco with Patreon didn't cut too badly into your production schedule.
