I showed you Qora recently, one of Faulza's Eyes--that's a seer of the Faulfenzair god, Faulza, the Firedancer. One of you asked what the messiahs and prophets look like, so here's a quick sketch. The prophets are all black (the color of ash, as the seers are the color of smoke). The messiahs are all reds! They can be solid red or have shades of red that mimic the normal coloration of the Faulfenza (dark dorsals, red ventrals, and white between them). They are, of course, the color of fire, because their god is a Firedancing god.

Messiahs are rare; there have been three of them, if I remember right. Qufal, Faullaizaf, and Zafiil. Each messiah occasions a prophet, sent before them to prepare the way. I don't remember all their names, but Zafiil's prophet was Daqan.

Seers don't have to be one to a messiah, so they're more common. Which makes them still fantastically rare, but at least they show up without ending eras. They do tend to crop up around messiahs, though (Zafiil's was named Jan). But since they don't have to, Qora's existence is not weird or unusual, though no doubt some Faulfenza will wonder if his involvement with the events of the Princes' Game series augur tumultous times for their people....

Anyway. Fluff! Enjoy!

Reading the few lines from Qora, I just wanted to hear Qora and Bryer have a conversation about their beliefs. So add that to the list of meta-conversations your readers would enjoy! :)
