Oh no. I voted for Scalzi. I don't like books that outsiders can't read.

Actually, I read and enjoyed Redshirts. I am not a Trek nerd, but I didn't find it very cringey and there were some good themes about loss and memory. Nothing as blatantly dumb as a variety of 80s dance moves.

Concur 100%. I will admit it was shortly after the book came out, and my tastes had yet to be calibrated by Mike and Conor, but I remember liking it enough to seek out other Scalzi books.
