I feel that way about Gershwin. Maybe I'm just listening to the wrong pieces, but the one I heard at the symphony was ragtime piano mixed into a bland symphony. I wanted kick it in the groin as it was performed after a fantastic Beethoven piece. I should've stayed in the lobby and nursed a beer.
