Yes, this may be the final episode of Midnight Sun but Alice has looked into the future and Mike and Conor are still reading it in every possibility but this one.

We won't spoil anything about the episode itself but stay tuned to the very end and help us (and 372 listener Josh who sent it in) solve the deep mystery of the shared / unshared lasagna in the greater Twilight universe...

This episode made me feel like I made the right choice in putting the book down halfway through. It’s all so repetitive! But congrats on making this trash entertaining... the bit about exiting the airport rental car lot and the imagery of Edward telepathically using his family staring out the windows as some kind of bizarre 360 backup camera had me laughing out loud in the car!

When I finished this book, I finally realized what the issue was: this entire book was basically the first act of a story, padded (and padded, and padded, and padded...) to make it appear to stand alone on its own. 600+ pages and _nothing happens!_ Jacob and Bella meeting at Prom could have been a decent Act I break to set up some actual.. you know... tension in Act II. It also occurred to me that the Swan family... might not be very smart. :) I mean, forget Bella for a minute. It took me two of these Phil-centric podcast discussions to notice how insane her mother is. If Phil's in Florida, trying to get signed by a baseball team, it's got to be Spring Training -- he's a non-roster invitee. And Renée is sending her daughter off to Forks to hang out with her boyfriend, who's liable to be cut at any point? So he gets signed by the Suns. From 2001-2008 they were in the Dodgers' system -- at a time when the AAA club was in Las Vegas. If Phil has a good year, maybe he gets called up to Las Vegas at some point -- is she now taking her daughter all the way back across the country because her boyfriend got called up? Not to mention, minor league players get traded all the time. He's in Jacksonville now, but if the Dodgers need a pitcher for the stretch drive, he could be in Norwich, CT, Reading, PA, or Akron, OH in August (among many, many others). Maybe I'm being unfair, but I'd say Bella comes by her ditziness honestly... ;)
