Mike and Conor run down a fine selection of emails from listeners.

Mike's "Real or FanFic" failures are discussed at length, as are Dan Brown's failures at writing, making up Armenian names, and getting accurate information from NSA employees.

Finally caught up to this. Yes, Brown gets so much wrong, it's not even funny. Best of all, calling Enigma a "12 tonne monster". Imagine trying to carry one of those beasts in the field to be able to read decipher encoded messages. Of course it weight only 12 kilos, which is 11988kg lighter than 12 tonnes.

I'm finally catching up on this and I'm delighted to see you finally taking on some Dan Brown. A la Cline, I think his second non-Langdon book, Deception Point, gets even stupider than this one was: The main character, another jaw-droppingly hot woman-object, is literally given the last name "Sexton" (even better, her father is "Senator Sedgewick Sexton", and the way they are described in the opening scene I can't not picture them as Donald and Ivanka Trump). The book begins with an author note that contains the sentence: "All technologies described in this novel exist." Spoiler alert: No, they don't (one in particular was even debunked by Mythbusters).
