I'm catching up on these from the distant future but I have to tell you, Gourmet Detective is one of my top 3 Hallmark mystery series. Yes, they are cozy. If you are interested, my tier list is: 1) Martha's Vineyard Mysteries #1 best 2) Gourmet Detective very close second 3) Chronicle Mysteries somewhat of a distant third behind those two If you wanted the garbage tier list for lol watching, the worst ones are: 1) Flower Shop Mysteries with Brooke Shields - straight garbage 2) Emma Fielding Mysteries with Courtney Thorne-Smith - less garbage writing than the Brooke Shields one but CTS has had so much Botox that her face doesn't move and the acting is atrocious 3) Murder, She Baked - bottom tier because there's an unending love triangle of absolute agony, but you guys should watch this one for a special or something because remember all the "CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE! MURDER! PLUM PUDDING! MURDER!" titles Conor read when you guys first entered the cozyverse? Those books were the basis for this movie series. And there's like 20 of those books and the love triangle is NEVER RESOLVED in the books, she just keeps dangling both of them for eternity

For an in-depth weekly discussion of Hallmark Christmas movies by people who know its dreck, please refer to the podcast The Christmas Mistake. The hosts are a bit manic, but they watched so many they started to recognize themes and consistencies within the genre.

I'm impressed that Mike got as far as Constance Bennett (star of "Topper" -- you're welcome) before breaking down. I lost it at "soft strip of leather."
