Who's ready to get British and horny?? This is our first episode devoted to The Mister by EL James, and it's obviously unlike anything we've read on here before.  We'll examine the author's clever methods for padding out the book length, as well as some very surprising similarities to the works of Ernest Cline. We'll also examine how a cartoon wolf might respond to the sight of someone polishing a piano in an alluring nylon housecoat. We'll also check out the dark web and establish some powerful new Albanian stereotypes. Join us!!!

All this plus some truly Dumb Sentences of the week and a surprisingly tricky Fanfic or Real? segment

For next time, read thru chapter 9, page 156

Conor, someone, please help me figure this out: Alessia sees Maximum for the first time while he sleeps, then mentions his green eyes at least 2 times in the same scene. Did I miss where she A) saw some photos of him on the wall, or B) peeled his eyelids back to check his eye color. I am not an expert on sleeping, but I think most people's eyes are closed, preventing you from staring into their green ruby orbs of vision.

Another thing, as MJN was mentioning, there are parentheticals, inner dialog, reported inner dialog, ITALIC inner dialog, and tagged inner dialog, all seemingly performing the same job. Of all the things to nitpick, this is my first because it feels so random. Unless the italic inner dialog is meant to be sarcastic or emphasized in a different way. Also, Maximus Prime is done in 1st person, but Alessia is done in 3rd person. I am glad to finally experience a book with such a jarring approach to POV.

As I recall he actually looks at her, but he's still asleep? And in case you're thinking "Absurd, that's not how sleep works", well it goes even farther in the next chapter!!

EL is just confused because she doesn't have an emoji keyboard.
