Hey folks, Braden here! It's been a day so I wanted to just give a quick update and answer some common questions about the billing migration. First off, thanks to everyone for helping this be a smooth process! Hundreds of you have switched over already, which is a huge help to us. I really appreciate it!  

To address some common questions:

Credit card is not my preferred payment method; can I use something else like Paypal?

Ok, so this one's totally my bad. I didn't properly do my research when it comes to running a global service, and I didn't realize credit cards are somewhat unpopular worldwide, and many debit cards outside the US don't work online. I definitely want to fix this as soon as I can. Many folks are asking for Paypal; I'll see what I can do here, but Paypal is an entirely new payment processor and would take a while to set up.

Those of you asking for Paypal, are there any other methods that would be convenient for you? Stripe (our payment processor) does offer a bunch of other options, like SEPA Direct Debit, ACH debit, giropay, iDeal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, (full list here). These would all be much easier to set up than Paypal; generally, I'd just need to localize our prices to each region and then offer the method as an option. That isn't to say Paypal isn't an option, but it's just much harder to add than this other stuff. Let me know what you think! 

Regardless, we'll figure this out, however long it takes. You won't lose access to LK or anything like that during this process.

Where can I switch between annual and monthly for my discounted plan?

The billing portal won't let us do monthly/annual switches for the discounted price point, without revealing that discounted price to everyone. Since we only want to show it to patrons, that's a no-go. You are welcome to switch between annual and monthly billing whenever you like, you'll just need to put in a support ticket for it at https://lk.quest/support. I have to do them manually for now. 

I don't see the right discount in my account 

I'm seeing a few of these come in; this is mainly due to email changes that I didn't quite resolve correctly. This is an easy fix; just submit a support ticket and let me know what your Patreon email is, and what your current LegendKeeper email is (even if they are the same). I'll make sure everything gets linked up and you get the discount we promised you. ✌️

Google Pay would work best for me, if PayPal isn't an option in the short term, but I also agree with the recurring sentiment that having PayPal (or more options in general) would be great to lower the barrier of entry for as many new people as possible.

If Paypal isn't an option then Google Pay will likely be the next best option.
