Keep in mind this video was still recorded with my old microphones and my old compensation which is not optimised for my current target yet. I hope to finally find some time to concentrate on creating a new compensation for my new microphones, then the recording should sound even more realistic. But when I sat down today with the speaker standing in front of me just like in the video and listened to my video over the Free Pro 2 with my reference tuning, the recording is pretty close to what I hear in reality. Upper mids are still not represented faithfully but I should manage to fix this and allow for realistic monitoring of my recordings over the Free Pro 2 in future. Also the sound presented may not be final yet, I am still within the listening and evaluation period and today I listened a lot with the speaker. I wanted to try it out in various rooms and placements like bathroom, kitchen etc and what I found was that the speaker definitely benefits from some placement at ear height. Therefore always try to place it on some shelf elevated instead of a table and listening from above. I am actually surprised about the bass amount even with indoor mode as I was afraid it could sound thin but actually it’s sometimes even slightly too phat so that I managed to piss off my wife who started to complain what the fuck I am doing the whole day like some retarded idiot…
