Lately I have been tweaking the tuning for the Earfun Free Pro a little bit more and I am convinced it sounds even better now. I was never fully satisfied with the upper mids, as I was relying too much onto measurements which never quite resembled what I was actually hearing. Due to the time pressure by Earfun to finally settle for a last tuning, I simply could never get it to that level which I was aiming for, not to forget the cheap hardware itself that has its own acoustic limits.
But now I fnally managed to make it sound like I originally had had in mind with an even more transparent and more natural tuning than before, although due to sample variation my new settings may need some additional adjustment for any given unit. I am currently trying to find the best universal settings which should work for all units.

I assume there may be still interest in an Earfun Free Pro OE tuned by me especially by those who couldn't get any from the official production runs, therefore I will soon announce a detailed procedure how everyone could transform their Earfun Free Pro into an OE edition with my tuning.

Also worth mentioning is that recent units of the Earfun Free seem to have had some hardware changes probably within the chipset as the latest units I tried did not have any AAC compression artefacts anymore and didn't work correctly with my original custom firmware.

Although I am currently in contact with a Chinese ODM manufacturer for a possible future IEM with my own brand, I cannot say when my first own product will really become alive as first I need to pick the best suitable samples and check if I can really manage to make them shine, not even talking about the entire issue financing a production run of several thousand units...

As long as I have no own product I would like to offer everyone a way to tweak the regular Earfun Free Pro versions to also get my tuning with the option to adjust it further to one's own taste, or fine tune it for your particular unit. I will also make a public video and announcment about this soon, this way everyone can try my tuning ior tweak it further. Especially now during the 3rd anniversary Earfun is celebrating, you can get the regular Earfun Free for even cheaper than usual.

How? Everyone who takes the enthusiast level and sends me a message will get a step by step tutorial how to save my EQ values into his Earfun Free Pro unit (regular or OE version). I should have everything ready by the end of this week and after verifying my latest settings for several other units.

Just keep in mind that you will lose the original tuning saved within the firmware, and you won't be able to revert back in case you really like the default sound. But you will  get both my original EQ settings for the OE version, and also my current updated settings which you can all save at once within your unit, and you even have 2 additional EQ slots where you could save additional variants. This will only work with Android though, you need an Android device for the tuning app, but once saved within the Earfun Free Pro it will stay there permantently, until you change to another saved preset through the app. Switch between all saved presets is only possible through the app though.

I would just beg everyone not to share my settings with anyone else. It took me lots of effort to get the tuning to the current level, and I don't want anyone to suddenly offer OE versions on Ebay for inflated prices as already seen before....

Thanks for all your support so far!
