I am planning to prepare a bigger more controlled test like this with various types of headphones. I wanted to include the following ones: HD800S, DT770, Verum-1, AKG N700NC M2 and Koss ESP/95X to get most possible variants including planar magnetic, open/closed, electrostatic and also wireless…

The idea is to record some songs through all these headphones, equalize all recordings to a flat response and compare if other particular aspects of the given headphones will be still noticeable like sound stage, detail retrieval, speed, dynamics or whatever. I wonder how different the rather congested AKG N700 will sound compared to the huge sounding HD800S if both are equalized to the same response. I am not sure such a test has ever been done before.

I would just need your help for the song selection as I want songs that can be revealing to some degree with top notch recording quality. Because of this I prepared a playlist with some songs from which I would like to select 4-5. Please let me know which songs you would prefer and would find best for such a task or if you have other suggestions. I also included the Portia Monique track as I wanted something with a nice punchy bass as well.
