This ought to be the listening part of my final video for the KEF LS50 Wirless II and Nubert nuPro X4000. 

Unfortunately I only noticed afterwards that the KEF speakers were swapped for left and right and I'll need to repeat the recording again but wanted to share this with you anyhow as it's also one of the first recordings I did with Mike. I tried to match the responses of my in-ear microphones to that of Mike as good as possible and will try to make an own dedicated video comparing both recording methods soon.

Yeah Nubert takes it here for me. I was never into this type of speakers so I can't believe the price of KEF. How do Mikes recordings measure compared to your own ears Oluv?

Up to 2khz there is not much difference but above it’s completely different and I must compensate for this. I am still trying to optimise it and bring them as close as possible although also imaging is quite different

It's surprisingly close. The bigger difference is when you compare both with Audio Pro.

They both measure nearly the same above 60-70hz. The Nuberts have slightly more treble boost and deeper bass response but mids should sound pretty much the same, although I still hear some hollowness from the KEFs which is not present on the Nuberts

I prefer the Nubert for sure. Nubert: Dipper Bass, wider sound stage, but a bit too much of upper treble ,,,,, KEF: Better vocals

Danke Olaf für diesen Vergleich! Eine klasse Möglichkeit die Beiden gegeneinander Spielen zu hören. Tolle Auswahl an Musik und die richtigen Abstände zwischen den Switches. Was mir auffällt und ich auch nicht erwartet hätte ist, dass die Beiden doch recht nah beieinander sind. Das bestärkt mich in meiner Aussage zur Audio Pro. Mir persönlich gefallen die Nubert etwas besser. Die breitere Bühne, eine deutlichere Staffelung und differenziertere Instrumente gefallen mir sehr. Ein wunderbarer Lautsprecher für genussvolles Hören sowie auch einfach nur Spass haben. Der KEF ist wie gesagt aber nicht so weit weg wie erwartet. Beide hatten etwas zu viel Höhen für mich und die Nubert spielte etwas punchiger was nicht unangenehm war, wenn man sich dabei die Zielgruppe vorstellt. Preislich liegen sie etwa 700€ auseinander und damit ist die Nubert gleich noch mehr interessant. Vom Design finde ich die KEF mit ihrer Schlichtheit (Die Treiber sind nice) und den nicht vorhandenen Displays schöner, aber alles ist nie beisammen.

Habe die Aufnahme heute wiederholt, diesmal aber mit beiden korrekt ausgerichtet und noch etwas näher dran, ich glaube man wird die unterscheide noch besser hören

Ich habe es jetzt mit beiden Kopfhörern, dem Elear mit Clear Pads und dem Verum I MKII mit den ZMF Ori Suede Pads gehört. Es bleibt dabei, der Nubert gefällt mir persönlich besser. Der Verum betont den Bass weniger bei den Nubert, dadurch klingt es etwas harmonischer, zumal der Verum von der Grundstimmung auch etwas mehr Breite bietet. Geschmunzelt hab ich beim letzten Stück, weil ich weiss wie du Metal findest. Was du nicht alles aushältst für deine Patrons. VG Matthias
